At the first I want to find something in the street , and found the chair can reflect the whole street.So In collected something in the street which can reflect things such as convex mirror and bottle

And then I think in one way(or one thing) we can see many more, we can see the whole environment in the convex mirror.So I collected my trash can,I think MY TRASH CAN IS MY DIARY, the rubbish shows want I did, and when I put my rubbish in the I found I forgot many detail in my life, so I decided to record my trash can as my diary.

This is this first project in csm.I think the inspiration is ok, and the photos of the reflection in the street(the photos of the chair and mirror in the contextual) is my favorite part.

But I do think I really should find a better way to show my trash can diary, it's not enough as a outcome, but I can't figure out it immediately.I think I should read more about artist and do more research. I found a problem that when I doing my research about Tracey Emin, I don't like her very much so I don't have many patient about her work. 

contextual practice:How to be invisible

In London and in big cities in general, it is easy to put up a facade and make our true selves invisible. With our project, we are going to try to show this aspect of everyday life.  Why do we change our manner and habit when we are in public? Isn't doing this just like placing a mask over our true selves? In a way, it's some sort of invisibility cloak. Being different is dangerous, it points you out from the multitude. Everyone has different ideas and habits, so we water down ourselves to be normal and not disturb any other people around us. But isn't this just like lying? Our true form is our weird side, our peculiar side and in a way, it is the deepest form of truth we can embrace as people. We are going to show this in our project to be able to show how interesting and beautiful it is to be yourself. We want to represent how we chose to hide our interior self in certain moments and let it out in other, specifically when we are in private.

The white colour and canvas also intensify this idea. White, functioning as a metaphor, frees our bodies and souls from our saturated daily life. From this short video, I aim to create a fleeting moment that escapes from reality, which is completely blank and free.

This project is a painting about a men is sleeping in the tube. It's interesting to see what other people doing in subway, especially there's no single in London Underground. So people will not just use their phones. And the men I chose to paint is because I can see many people like him everyday, a men who is really tired and take subway to home.

During I doing the painting I think it still similar with what I'm doing in China, a little bit boring and dull. but I think it's fine, just keep painting because it's important to keep doing things to improve painting ability. I should try more materials and more different way next time.

place When I was doing the painting, I felt a little bite anxious, because other classmate was doing Morden art but I was just doing oil painting in a traditional way. Acttcaly when I decided to draw this man, all I was think is how to do the painting well, and stop thinking how to do it in a interesting way. Because I think it’s hard to do a good painting and I always afraid I can’t do the painting well.

notes about pathway:

Painting: painting is my first choice. paint with other materials, with light or something interesting. Expanded painting, towards video and sculpture. After I choose the pathway, it's also important to study ps and pr, to give more chance to be different from the past.

Sculpture: the physical nature of the world(object, matters, material) I also want to study the skills for sculpture. can do many experiment in sculpture pathway.

4D: is on the interplay between artist experiment, media and technology. RELATIONSHIP. SOUND. MUCIS. VEDIO.

In the term one I really enjoyed try different materials to do my work, which I never tried before. Like just the white primer in the canvas and made a fake book. I think if I have a feeling about something I should try more way to express the feeling although I don’t have specific idea.
And I think I changed a lot in term one, actually I learned a lot in other students’s sketch book and their works. It’s the first time I do the sketchbook, at the begin I thought I should put many things in one page and just choose the good work to put in the sketchbook, but I found I was wrong. Sketchbook is the most important thing to record my thinking and the contextual with my works ,I could lose many inspiration if I just put the work that I think it’s good, and it just the feeling in that time, it’s always happened that we change our thinking in ours work. And I put many things in one page, it’s really in a mess. I should see more good sketchbook from other students.
I awalys think I don’t have many creativity, just know how to painting in canvas. And in the term one, I do things really slowly, it’s important for me to see other work in outcome day, I saw they do everything and use every material, I never feel so freedom to dp art, and in the NEWS MATERIAL, I finally began to do my work.
Although my English is still not good but I’d like to tell other my thinking about art work. I think I did less work in term one, and most of them is boring, I still don’t know how to promote my work, and how to judge the quality of modern art，if I can figure out the better maybe it is a huge change for me, and I show get more thinking and do more research about different artist.
It’s important to let the audience to be a part in the art work, how to get the attention in the whole exhibition and how to let the audience to engage with the work is difficult. Sometime the art work will annoy people, sometimes the art work will heal people. I’m eager to get the reflection of others, because I think it’s always has the distance between the audience and the artist, also there has the distance between the art work and the artist. So it is important communication and get the reflection in everywhere.
